Ruffles are their own boss. They lift up even the simplest of the outfits and create a style statement. They do not need an accessory or any additional makeover to standout. They themselves work as an accessory and accentuates the look of any outfit. The placement of ruffles on the outfit matters a lot. Today the ruffles are the biggest trend and the key to wearing a ruffle outfit is to keep it simple. They make a bold statement and single handedly lifts up the look to another level. A ruffle
outfit is enough for a complete look without having to wear an extra added jewelry. Keep it minimal when wearing ruffles.

It all started with a single layer of ruffle in a top and then there was no looking back. From multilayered ruffle top to hemline on the skirt to one shoulder ruffle lining to off the shoulder ruffle tiered top to a complete ruffle layered dress, its just making every piece of clothing look ultra flattering. Since ruffles in itself work as an accessory, never get overboard with the same as it will spoil the look and become an instant turn off. If wearing a ruffle top, keep the bottom straight and in plain color. If not done right, the trend can look unflattering. They demand the right sense of aesthetics. So be careful when wearing ruffles.

Not only the western outfits, they have taken over the Indian fashion and the designers are incorporating ruffles in the Indian attires as well. They are adding an extra oomph to the evening gowns and sarees especially. A layer of ruffles on the blouse or on the edge of a saree makes for a beautiful statement look. Even the addition of ruffles in the gowns are becoming a super trend and girls are opting for the same for their reception looks. Of course ruffles add that feminine side to each garment. The only thing one should keep in mind while choosing ruffle outfit is to maintain a balance and wear it right.

Onto the looks now…

Look 1: Wearing an off the shoulder red ruffle top with high waist flared pants and not playing much with colors to let the ruffles take the front seat. Giving a retro look to the complete ensemble by curling the hair and decorating it with scarf turned head band. The ruffle OTS crop top works absolutely best with the high waist pants. The multi layered ruffled sleeves are just too adorable and making a style statement. Aren’t they?

Look 2: Styling the same high waist pants with one shoulder heavy ruffle top. Again keeping the colors minimal and simply playing with monochrome to let the ruffles do the talking. Adding a tint of orange by carrying a small handbag and white broad belt to spice up the look. When wearing heavy ruffle outfit, always try to make an updo for it creates a neat look and ruffles get the right amount of limelight. Also they make a very lovely combination together. Had I kept my hair open, the top would have lost its charm.
